This week, Disney Cruise Line announced the 2013 itineraries for the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder and we shared all of those new destinations and ports right here on the Disney Parks Blog.

The Disney Magic is headed back to Europe and Athens, Greece, is just one of the new destinations listed in our original post. Also, beginning in December, the Disney Wonder will depart from Miami for the first time – sailing from the Port of Miami to the Bahamas and the Western Caribbean. Check Jonathan’s story for more ports of call and news about Alaska.
And did you see what our Creative Entertainment team has planned for next month? A new show segment is set to debut February 1, inspired by some of the most romantic moments in Disney animation. Cinderella Castle and “it’s a small world” will be covered in red roses for one sequence and turned into a beautiful, star-filled sky for another. Kellie Nickerson Wins Inaugural Tinker Bell Half Marathon at the Disneyland Resort

Kellie Nickerson – complete with fairy wings and a green tutu – flew away from the field to win the inaugural Tinker Bell Half Marathon at the Disneyland Resort today. Nickerson traveled from Albuquerque, N.M., to capture her first win at a runDisney race with a finish time of 1:27:52, just ahead of Sharon Wilkinson of Winnetka, Calif., (1:28:18) and Stacy Schafer from Carlsbad, Calif. (1:28:54).
The Tinker Bell Half Marathon, hosted by the city of Anaheim and the Disneyland Resort, led participants on a 13.1-mile trek through Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks, as well as by several Anaheim landmarks. The first-year event featured music, entertainment, Disney characters and costumed runners donning fairy wings and plenty of pixie dust. Finishers received a commemorative Tinker Bell “wings’’ medal.
TV sitcom star Megyn Price (“Rules of Engagement”) and “Goonies,” “Lord of the Rings” and “Rudy” star Sean Astin were among the 12,000-plus registered runners to take part in this morning’s race.

Enter to Win Aulani Vacation with Disney’s Magic of Healthy Living Contest
Are you and your family trying to make healthier lifestyle choices? With Disney’s Magic of Healthy Living contest, you may be rewarded for those healthy choices with a vacation to Disney’s newest resort destination, Aulani. Disney’s Magic of Healthy Living initiative strives to help families make healthy living simple and fun, and now they want to hear from you.
Families with at least one child between the ages of 6 and 14 can enter the contest by sending in either a photo or a story of 500 characters or less. The entry should demonstrate how your family is doing, or will be doing, to lead a healthier life together, and should fit into the categories “New Foods” (demonstrating what you do to eat right and choose nutritious foods) or “New Moves” (demonstrating how you incorporate exercise into your day and make exercise fun).
The grand prize for the contest will be a vacation to Disney’s Aulani Resort and Spa, located in Ko Olina, Hawaii. The vacation will be to participate in the Magic of Healthy Living Weekend & TRYathlon, which will take place at Aulani from May 30-June 4, 2012. A panel of judges will choose five grand prize winners and five first prize winners from the entries, based on the entry’s relevancy to the topic, originality, leadership qualities, and family involvement. In addition, the public will be able to vote for their favorite entries online, with five entries earning a separate Voter’s Choice Prize.
